Latest News: With our patron John retiring from the Man of Kent Tavern and Cafe and the recent struggles to get players we have decided to disband the club. Our kit will be donated to local schools to help promote the game. Thanks to everyone for their efforts over the years to fly the flag for cricket in this corner of the world, to John for his support and to Hoosac School for the use of one of the northeast's most attractive grounds. This site will stay up for a while as a record of the club's achievements. Man of Kent C.C. were a cricket team based at the "Man of Kent Tavern and Cafe" on the eastern border of New York state, close to Bennington Vermont. In the summer we practiced and played games at our home ground in Hoosick NY (map here). Read more about the club here. We made the pages of local paper the Bennington Banner during the 2005 season, read the story here. Our 2006 season was a long struggle with the weather. Our first game with Mad Dogs CC displayed our lack of match practice but we rebounded with a solid all round game with Schenectady High School (scorecard here).
